"My Love/Hate Relationship with Apricots"

Well i actually find it some what relaxing to mow the lawn,yet every July i dread this........site that could make a grown adult cry! APRICOTS...atleast six feet in all directions on the ground below the tree! and of course it has to be a Monday,way hot and just got home from vacation! now I have been mowing my Grandmas lawn every week for about eight years now, and i love it! getting to spend breakfast with my grandma is so much fun! (how i have pulled this off with everything else going on i don't know but i do) I have trimmed,blown,weeded,gardened,picked up apples,cherries,dog poop,and thousands of pounds of leaves in the fall....but NOTHING...nothing compares to how i feel when i get to my grandmas and see this! I have always hated apricot jam, i have always hated apricots, the smell, the texture everything! i remember when we were little and we would play out in the back bare foot and step on one of those sick creations and they would seep through your toes! sick..it makes me gag just thinking about it! well every July those same blasted fruit grow in mass numbers on this tree, i have cut off limbs, and half the tree, i have prayed so hard that it freezes in the winter everything i can do to make them not grow! and it never works! i would rather rake up thousands of leafs in the fall(which i hate also)rather than doing this!but i love my grandparents so i pick them up one by one in blistering heat, it usually takes about a half hour at least to gather them all up! smashed into the grass, and more than half of them are moldy already and full of bugs! each one they squash in my hands get all over my shoes, make my arms and legs itch, all over my shirt! they get all over everything and stink like crazy in the hot sun! Then i fill at least two boxes worth and lug them over to the Dumpster at the church!...Heavy!!!
All i have to say is..................................ONLY FOR MY GRANDMA!!!!
