Got promoted to be PRESIDENT IN 2006!

"On March 28, 2006 -- Airgas, Inc., announced that Dan Tatro has been named president of Airgas Nor Pac and Doug Jones has been promoted to take his place as president of Airgas Intermountain. The regional companies are two of the 13 that make up Airgas’ distribution business.Tatro has served as president of Airgas Intermountain, based in Denver, CO, for the past six years. Hooper also noted that the promotion of Doug Jones to president of Airgas Intermountain gives that region a leader familiar with the territory. “Doug has spent his entire career in the packaged gas industry in the Rockies, starting as a medical gas driver while still at college at the University of Utah. Doug has been a key leader in Dan’s management team at Intermountain as vice president of sales and marketing.”Jones joined Airgas in 1989 with the acquisition of Utah Welders Supply and went on to manage medical and industrial gas sales before becoming the region’s director of marketing in 1998. He became vice president of sales and marketing in 2001. A graduate of the University of Utah with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration, Jones has lived with his wife and family in the Salt Lake City area and will soon relocate to Denver.
