Liam caught this fish all by himself and it bigger than him!BE WARNED: we have thousands of pictures..i can't post them all! so here are "the highlights" of our trip!
We had the time of our lives, seriously so much fun! Loved being with the McClusky's, loved being in the breath taking alaskan wilderness, loved the out of this world fishing,Loved seeing Kayson so excited he might burst into two pieces (really though),and just all together had a great time. First off we had a bit of a rough start..got to Kodiak and found out our bags had been left in Colorado (not cool) this turned out ok and we got them that night. The fist day we went straight to the river..with only our five weights, started catching fish that were no less than 20 pounds and thought..hmmm five weights not going to work hahaha so the rest of the trip we used our eight weights. I think Kayson was in SHOCK..i think it was all a little much to take in. I had been to Kodiak before and knew what to expect, he was in absolute HEAVEN. I don't think he realized when we say there are HUGE fish and LOTS of them..he really knew what that ment.(we caught THOUSANDS of fish, fourty-fifty a day easy) Since we were in Kodiak for two weeks i can't tell you everything we did(that would take several pages, and far too much of your time) although all very eventful and AWESOME! We fished EVERY day, sometimes night and morning, some times all day! we caught fish both Kay and i only dreamed of catching on a fly rod! We took hikes, went to many beautiful beaches, picked Salmon berries,went out on Will's boat on the ocean,went to all the museums,shopped,ate YUMMY food,saw bears,foxes,everykind of fish and bird you can think of, Three whales,sea otters,seals,sea lions,puffin's,moose,jelly fish and all sea creatures. We went to a demolition durby and motocross race, we took a tour of coast gaurd base, all the boats, all the planes, the rescue divers helocopters, we ate in Will's boat "the Spar",Went to the harbor, We watched movies,jumped on the tramp,Went to some sweet garage sales on saturday,went 4xing through unknown woods,Played with those cute kidlings of ours, Read, had a birthday party,Had BBQ's, Visited old war bunkers,chilled with Ash and Will..and FISHED ALOT. I can not put into words what a absolutly amazing beautiful place Alaska is, the air is fresh there is natural all around, the ocean, and amazing schenery. We loved every second of our trip and are VERY grateful for Ashley & Will and all they did for us while we were staying with them, we have so many awesome and funny memories! Like on the way home! Missed our flight out of anchorage had to stay another whole day there...kinda fun..kinda not! haha we brought home a ton of halibut mmm.. that will be so yummy. We could talk for hours and tell all our adventures and crazy stories, but i dont have the time nore the patients to type all that..so all i can say was it was a AWESOME two weeks we will remember forever..(and soon go back!) Thank you Mom & Dad also for being the BEST..and helping with all the "lost baggage/hotel/missed flight crap" you guys are incredable! oh man...this summer has been ROCKING..pretty sure we got our "play" in! the only way to live!

heath! your trip to alaska looked amazing! ive always wanted to go fishing there! but it seems everytime we plan a vacation we go to the beach.. but alaska is just beautiful! its a must go huh? good fishin girly!
Holy mother dogfish!! That thing is huge. That trip looks like a blast! I hope someday to experience Alaska, your pictures only egged me on. S O F U N ! ! !
