"Team Kasey 2011 CF Great Strides 5K Walk for a Cure!"

Kasey's Family would like to form a group of walkers again this year to join us on Saturday May 21st 2011 starting at the Gallivan Center (at 239 S. Main Street Salt Lake City, Ut) The 5K will start at 9:00 AM to walk with great strides in honor of Kasey! We are continually doing all we can to benefit Kasey in his fight to find a cure, and will continue to do so. So please help my Dad and his team and leave a tax deductible donation to help this fight, or join us on May 21st and Walk to show our unconditional love and support for Kasey! We are now going Several years Walking this walk to honor Kasey and have always had wonderful support and turn out!!..lets make this year the same! Dear Friends and Family, Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening genetic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. More than 10 million Americans are symptom less carriers of the defective CF gene. Much progress has been made toward finding a cure for CF, however, the CF Foundation's work is far from over, as precious young lives continue to be lost to this disease. I have been personally affected by CF. My 20 year old Nephew, Kasey, was diagnosed with CF at a young age and has been struggling with the disease throughout his childhood. Kasey is an excellent athlete and was a standout varsity golfer on his High School Team as well as an All-star baseball player.Now as a 20 year old adult his challenges have become much greater and the need for a cure much more imperative. Despite the challenges his disease has presented he is determined to excel in his life. He's had a tough year struggling with his disease but he continues to set goals and aspirations for his future. We admire and support his efforts and the hope for a cure is always on his and our minds. At Airgas, we are supporting the CF Foundation by participating in GREAT STRIDES. Toni and I will be walking on May 16th in Denver with a large group of my colleagues in honor of Kasey. Collectively; our team would like to raise more than $1,000.00 for vital CF research.
