"Breathe...."

Giving the peace sign! Kasey update:

As of 12:00 ish today the ventilater is out, and it has now been over four hours! and Kasey is doing better than all the other shots at this, his levels are up oxygen 50% and CO2 about 40 %which is WAY better than before! he has not had to use the C-pap yet, which is great and is just using an Oxygen Mask! His heart rate and breathing are under control and things are looking up! Although...he is not out of the woods yet...and we are still unsure of the damage this has caused his lungs until he is off..things can go bad fast..like before..but we cried when we got this news! He is making steps in a good direction and we couldn't be more happy!!! Jill says he is still very irritated that he can't have a drink or anything yet (who wouldn't) but is Strong. The first reason i cried was because i was so happy to hear a change..good news. Second because we visited him on Monday and he wrote to us "I will be out of here in two days, i can do it, i am strong, my lungs are strong" And sure enough he did! and we hope it stays this way! Monday was AWESOME! we went around dinner and ate with Jill and grams and gramps and Trent and then headed up! We took him his poster from "great strides" his "team kasey" tee-shirt, wristband and several pictures of the day to post on his walls. I have to say it was harder for me to see him awake than the first time we saw him, i am not sure why but this time it crushed my heart. He was funny, talking (writing) and being very optimistic. We talked about life, school, work, CF, and everything, it was so great to be with him..hard but good! So were happy with the good news of the day... and take one day at a time hoping for the best..we will keep you posted!
