We had THEE CRAZIEST wind storm in Davis county!!! December 1st woke up to my phone flooded with phone calls from people asking if we are ok, Kayson calls me and says don't go to work ALL of Bountiful is out of power, out side it looked like a tornado hit, paper, trees, trash, broken windows, fences broke it was crazy. i stayed home from work and whit called and said in farmington it was even worse, i was watching on the news and seeing SEMIS roll down the freeway and random trailers sliding down the road. Freeways were shut down all day, there were semis parked lining all the freeways hoping they don't flip. It was scary, Kayson got asked to help the police with all the down power lines calls. Kent had already been out at 11:00 pm that night. Lynn called and said we had pine trees down in the back yard (parents house) but it wasn't safe to go out and look yet.So at about 1:00 that afternoon it was safe to go outside i drove around Bountiful on my way to my parents MADNESS! i mean every street had like fifty trees down, fences all gone, trash everywhere, cars crushed CRAZINESS! i felt so bad for Bountiful cemetery they lost SO many old pretty trees, Golf courses lost up to 300 trees!!! We lost our tree in the back yard of the house (the one my Mom planted when they moved in) so really sad! i ruined the fence. There was shingles ALL over everywhere from every ones roofs. Allcotts had like a week ago re-shingled their roof and they lost them all!! Flower patch had no power for two days, parents out for two days too. Kent worked from morning thought the night for two weeks to clean up. Week one he had 75 hours over time!!!! poor guy! still now three weeks or more later they still are doing tons to catch up. They had to call in 5 other power companies to help, and the u.s. coast guard (Hayden got called out) to help clean up trees and trash (they hauled stuff for a week or more). They estimate 3 million dollars in damage!! i mean almost EVERY house had multiple things broken or trashed. North Salt Lake was lucky and didn't get it as bad... few! they said it was the worse wind storm in ten years!! crazy day to remember!
